After reading the online reviews, I decided that being without a 3D phone would be "so 2000". Being a cell phone nerd, it had to be mine with no delay. I have a feeling that you are thinking "Two Android phones? TWO LG phones?! This guy has lost it." Yes, I regularly rain praise on all that is HTC, yet I possess two LG phones, and believe me, I'm working on trading the G2x for a Sensation.
Anyway, back to the glory of having a 3D phone. One of the first things I did out of the box was open one of the 3D games. I was immediately blown away at the level of depth seen on this device. It is fluid, crisp and absolutely fantastic. After playing with a few games and being completely sold, I tested out the stereoscopic dual camera picture taking ability. This picture involved three major layers: a persons hand in front, the person, and a background. Each layer was easily visible and clear. Very much sold at this point.
Besides the 3D aspect, it is a pretty typical android device. Smooth, good interface and good sized screen. My only complaint is that the screen is a huge grease magnet, which should change once I throw a screen protector on. Otherwise, this is the coolest phone I've had in, well, ever. Well worth the new 2-year agreement with AT&T.

LG Thrill 3D Phone to Hit Markets
LG is releasing the Thrill for AT&T, a new 3D, dual core dual channel phone that requires no glasses. Initial reports show that this phone is highly functional, with the 3D aspect being somewhere between an Evo3D and a 3DS. This phone has the single front facing camera, and dual stereoscopic cameras for easy 3D pictures and video recordings. Seems sexy enough, right?
There are a few downsides to this phone. Apparently, using 3D for extended periods of time can lead to eye strain and dizziness, so this device may not be the best choice for children or the elderly. While no one can really complain about having 3D image capturing, the device only allows for 5 megapixels. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too!
Being a T-Mobile fanatic, I will keep my G2x and likely pick up a Thrill with AT&T as well. First decent 3D phone? Yes please. Oh yeah, and only $99. Winner.

Rumored Samsung Phone of 5.3"
Yes, it seems unfathomable. Rumors are circling around the internet that Samsung is working on a 5.3" phone to be released sometime during 2012. Some of you may have heard me lovingly call the Samsung Infuse the "mini tablet", which measures at a mere 4.5". This rumored phone will be nearly an inch larger, may or may not fit in your pocket well, but will most likely be popular among those with purses or laptop bags. Personally, Samsung is an excellent manufacturer, and I am excited to see this new device on the market. We are truly moving towards the all-in-one with larger screens.
Great job Samsung!

POP3 Email
This can be a huge headache for even the tech saavy, but once having the knowledge to do so, it can be quite simple! If working with a corporate and custom email, you may need to talk to your IT in order to receive the correct Incoming/Outgoing addresses.
*NOTE* I highly recommend using a Gmail account for your Android device and in general. The sync for both email and calendar is simple and easy to set up, while Outlook accounts can be a pain.
First open your Email application. From there you will want to select Others. Enter the email you would like to use along with the coinciding password. Select POP3. There should be two items you will look for now; Incoming and SMTP. This is where you will need to contact your IT in order to enter the correct addresses.
The following is a link to find your SMTP link. The incoming should be fairly similiar, just test it out through trial and error.

Ice Cream Sandwich First Look
The latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, has been leaked and confirmed by both Android Police and RootzWiki. With every Android update, the changes from the previous version can be slight and mostly focusing on appearance changes with one major functionality change. This update is no different. ICS should first be available for Nexus S users, to then be released for all devices. Here is what we know so far:
And of course, the awesome functionality update: Camera will have panorama feature! This will be a nice addition to my G2x and all devices.
Release date is uncertain, but keep your eyes out for flash mods for your phone. Leave a comment with your device and I will keep it on my watch list.
- UI will have a blue theme as opposed to the gray of Gingerbread
- Gmail will be updated to flow with ICS
- Google search bar will be imbedded, like in Honeycomb
